Hollow City: The Second Novel of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children
Well to say I am disappointed would be an understatement. This book had so much potential. The first had a slow build but was full of mystery, intrigue and just all together peculiarness with an ending that screamed more more more. The "Map of Days" was sure to be a central focus of the book as the Peculiar Children started their adventure. Well...and I do not feel this is a spoiler as it happens in the first 5% of the book...but the Map along with 98% of their belongings are lost at sea. So what now???

But it was like they were running in place. NOTHING happened in this book until the end. Yes we have some good scenes, we meet some equally peculiar peculiars and the writing once again is mesmerizing...but I was just left frustrated and disappointed.
What was the best part of this book...HUGH!!!
This kid was the star IMO and we better get more of him in book 3. Yes, I will read book 3 in hopes that we get some of the intrigue back. Plus at this point, I am in. I need closure.
