Vincent and Henry…
Yep, definitely swoon-worthy for sure. After finishing “Restless Spirits”, I was absolutely enamored by the wit and charm of these men. The sexual innuendos…phrases like…
“There is nothing quite as arousing for a man as to have his bells played with.”
“Then by all means, give us a demonstration of your thrusting rod.”
Seriously…what is not to love? These men are just fabulous.
So…months later and we meet up with these men again. A sexy start no doubt but in this installment it’s the mystery and intrigue of the paranormal that wins out. Far better than the story in the first book, this one totally captured my attention. I was drawn in completely and left with nails bitten to the quick before the end…heart racing brilliance.
He tried to find a break in the laurel. The bushes’ twisted branches seemed suddenly sinister,
contorted as though in a pose of silent agony,
like the forest of suicides in Dante’s hell. They clutched at one another,
refusing to let him through.
After giving the first book 4.5 stars and feeling this one surpassing the first, I am left with no choice than to give this one 5 stars. But…
There were a few chest tightening moments…and a bit more angst between our men than I would have liked. Some harsh words are spoken that just hurt my heart.
Add to that a character who I wanted to knock upside the head more than once. FFS…this asshat needed to get out of my book immediately.
But when things resolved themselves, boy were they done in style. GAAAHHH…
Yep…and these two most definitely are. I can’t wait for more. *taps toes*

5%“I want you,” Henry breathed when their lips parted again.
The words made Vincent’s heart speed. “What do you want from me?” he asked, lust thickening his voice.
Henry’s pale skin flushed pink, whether from the whiskey, the heat of a July night, or desire Vincent didn’t know. All three, most likely. “Everything,” he growled, and kissed Vincent again.
15%A curious thrill ran through him at the thought of introducing Henry to Sylvester. Like bringing home a betrothed to meet the family.
30%The ghost opened her mouth. Her lips split wider and wider, gaping far larger than a human mouth should.

Ortensi...yeah I don't like you at all. You asshole.
54%“I’m not used to seeing your rod this wilted,” Vincent remarked, stepping into the room.
